A Personal Story: The Power of a Trustee

I come from a humble, middle-class family. After completing my studies, I moved to Dubai to pursue my career. Around the same time, my mother had been battling asthma, and while we took care of her medical needs, my father managed everything at home, including caring for my mom. My role was simply to send money back home each month. 

One day, I received news of a promotion at work and was thrilled to share it with my parents. I told them how all my hard work had finally paid off. But during that time, my mother’s condition had worsened, something neither of my parents told me. They didn’t want to burden me, fearing it might affect my career and peace of mind. Just a week later, I received the heartbreaking news that my mom had passed away. The sorrow and regret were overwhelming—more than anything, I wished I could have been there with her during her final days, to talk to her one last time. By the time I arrived back in India, all the formalities had been completed. I met my dad, and we cried together over the loss. It was then that my dad handed me a letter from my mother. With tears in my eyes, I read her words—filled with her love for me, her care for me, even in her final moments. It’s one thing to talk to your loved ones when they are alive, but to receive a message from them after they are gone is an indescribable, priceless feeling. I keep that letter with me always and read it whenever I miss her. 

I’m sharing this story because it highlights something deeply important—the value of preserving afterlife messages. Laztwordz works in much the same way.
